I like the movie a lot even with the characters' family battle. Pretty heavy to watch and difficult to digest as you are watching but it is really something so fantastic. The ending is beautifully done.

As a whole, the actors of the movie are fit for their roles and they carried it with justice. They all did an amazing performance and I am recommending these to all who wants a good cry from a really good movie.

The Temporary Hiatus

I have been out in the blogging world for weeks and I deeply apologize to everyone for that.

My dad died last Nov.30 and it is one of the hardest things that ever came up this year.
Things will never be the same again. :(

I love you Daddy and I miss you so... <3

Zombieland

2009, Ruben Fleischer

Stars:
Jesse Eisenberg
Woody Harrelson
Emma Stone
Abigail Breslin

Searching for family. In the early twenty-first century, zombies have taken over America. A shy and inexperienced college student in Texas has survived by following his 30 rules: such as "look in the back seat," "double-tap," "avoid public restrooms." He decides to travel to Ohio to see if his parents are alive. He gets a ride with a boisterous zombie-hating good-old boy headed for Florida, and soon they confront a young woman whose sister has been bitten by a zombie and wants to be put out of her misery. The sisters were headed to an LA amusement park they've heard is zombie free. Can the kid from Ohio get to his family? And what about rule thirty one? (via imdb.com)

I like the whole concept of the movie that is inspired into something like I Am Legend of Will Smith. The only difference is that it was built to be a comedy one and it fits. I like the performances of the actors in this movie especially Woody Harrelson. I really like him do the tough and I-don't-care-if-I'm-alone attitude.

As a whole, the movies is pretty interesting even with the parts that are so disgusting for me. I finished the movie without throwing up.

How to Train Your Dragon

2010, dir. Dean DeBlois, Chris Sanders

Stars:
Jay Baruchel
Gerard Butler
America Ferrera
Jonah Hill

Long ago up North on the Island of Berk, the young Viking, Hiccup, wants to join his town's fight against the dragons that continually raid their town. However, his macho father and village leader, Stoik the Vast, will not allow his small, clumsy, but inventive son to do so. Regardless, Hiccup ventures out into battle and downs a mysterious Night Fury dragon with his invention, but can't bring himself to kill it. Instead, Hiccup and the dragon, whom he dubs Toothless, begin a friendship that would open up both their worlds as the observant boy learns that his people have misjudged the species. But even as the two each take flight in their own way, they find that they must fight the destructive ignorance plaguing their world. (via imdb.com)

I didn't read the book so I really don't know what to expect. They told me it was something different and the plot is refreshing. And yes, it was.

This animated movie is so refreshing in so many ways. There are lots of good parts in the movie. The characters are so true. I like the expressions and the gestures especially of the dragons. And even though it is for the young people, I enjoyed it a lot. I have watched this movies for so many times and I never get tired of it. It is definitely lovely from beginning to end.

One thing, Jay Baruchel's voice is perfect as Hiccup!
